5 Series Printer Legacy Firmware Release Notes
Legacy Firmware is for 5 Series printers that were purchased prior to August 2021 and have not received an electronics upgrade. Legacy Firmware installers are .fw files. If you can see .fw files on your printer's USB Transfer menu, your printer is restricted to running Legacy Firmware.
As of August 2021, Legacy Firmware updates only contain material changes. To make your printer compatible with the latest non-Legacy firmware updates and receive new features and bug fixes, please contact info@b9c.com about purchasing an electronics upgrade for your printer.
