Core to 1.2 slicing

Any thoughts about output from the Core software slicing being an input for the 1.2 software? Save the outputting of the .slt from Core and re-slicing in the 1.2 software.

Do you mean u want to save the layout file from the core and input into 1.2 for slicing?

You can not use a sliced file from the core software for use on the 1.2.

I did not realize that I can do the supports in Core and export the model to 1.2 and it will retain all the support information. With the ability to export to 1.2 I can do any tweaks in and easily slice the models without having to go back into the Core software.

If all that makes any sense.

twice the work.
Why Do it unless your wanting to use models you are printing or already printed on the Core?
Then that begs the question again Why would you take a model from the core to print on the 1.2 at 3 times the hrs it would
have printed on the core?
I'm so far behind I think I'm First !!

Because the software in Core allows undo and scaling of supports with the mouse wheel. Both of which are valuable enough to use Core and export to 1.2.

Have u tried saving the layout as an .stl (before slicing) and then import as a model for the 1.2?

If you save it as an .stl you lose being able to manipulate the supports. If you export to 1.2 you can still modify the supports.

you could do all your support work in the core program and then save as an STL and import to creator. if you save a sliced file and then change the supports in layout the change won't be reflected in the sliced file...so how is that different? I feel like I'm misunderstanding your question.

I answer my own question in the post above talking about exporting the model and not the .stl file.
