Re: Artifacts In Slices

This is what I mean by all back surfaces being colored pink. This back surface color does not change no matter what color u have selected for modeling. Inverted surface 4.JPG Robert Howle This does seem useful. Thanks for the help everyone, admittedly it was a file I pulled from the internet, and I...

Artifacts In Slices

Hey everyone, Weird issue, I seem to be getting some artifacts in my slices. I thought it was the models but in the view windows they show no hole (where the slice says there would be a hole) and the artifacts also show up in sprues as well as the base layer. Any help would be appreciated! I have at...

Re: Suggestions for a larger curing dish

U could use any container (plastic or glass) that will do the job. I would flip the object and expose to the uv from all sides if possible. YOu could also cure without using water to block the oxygen. It will just take longer. Robert Howle Okay great, so basically any clear container that fits in t...

Suggestions for a larger curing dish

Hello all!

My B9 Core 550 is working like a hot damn and I love it. I'm printing something rather large (almost maxing build dimensions) and I was wondering if anyone has other "dishes" they've used with success in the B9 curing unit that maxes out its tray space to fit larger objects.

Re: Question on latest print?

Got this cleaning tip from Mike at the factory. I dip my prints in concentrated mix of Dawn and water then put in plastic container of 110 to 120F hot water. Float in the ultrasonic, this keeps the ultrasonic clean. You won't believe how fast this cleans. I pour out the cloudy water after just 2 or...

Re: Question on latest print?

Just chiming in to what other are saying. My process now is clean prints in ultrasonic in water and lots of soap until ultrasonic runs for 10 mins and water is still crystal clear, wash prints off in sink, cure for 4 mins, cut off all sprues and file bits off that need to be filed, ultra quickly to ...

Test Prints and Test Emerald Casting

Hey Everyone! I'm in the market for the new core printers, and did some research with test prints provided by B9 to help me narrow down which version it was exactly that I wanted. Please excuse potato quality phone photos: http://i.imgur.com/tYQKcTV.jpg First up is all the test prints together. Buil...

Re: help with inconsistent casting

Yeah I was having a ton of inconsistency at 1375-1400, even with a small air pump and stainless steel break line inserted. I have a pretty small kiln so I was worried about airflow, but as a last ditch effort after a long time trying to get things stable I bumped my high end to 1450 for 4 hours and ...

Very cool, can't wait to see more pictures. Any idea when I'll be able to send a file to be printed on both 550 and 530 so i can compare differences?

Re: More Technical details on B9CORE

Thank you for the detail answer, Mike. By the way, is there any chance that the Vat's price will go down to maybe $400 or $500 like the Envisiontec's Vat or maybe some way to reuse the old Vat later on? $990 per year, which is $82.50 per month (That's assumed that the Vat can last one year) is kind...

Re: Is anyone using the new Core series printer?

Thanks for the photos Mike! I'm going to be hard pressed to see the benefit in the 530 when the detail looks very close...and with that build volume :O With you on this one.. I was looking into the 530 but seriously leaning on the 550 now, not so I can print more rings but so I could use the larger...

Re: Is anyone using the new Core series printer?

Anyone doing large volume or bigger items might choose the 550. I chose the 530 for max resolution and quicker build times. There will be slightly longer build times with the 550 because the light engine position. Robert Howle In your jewellery based opinion, do you think the 530 is a better option...
