Re: B9creator v1.1 specs

When typing a post, scroll down to "options and Attachments" and click on "attachments" then "Add Files", then select a file (click "open"), then click on "place in line". At that point it should show up in your post for "Submit" Robert Howle

Re: Need help for calibration machine v1.1 XY50m

I would not use the Dynamic Vat Positioning.

Other updates to the software have shortened the print times and the savings to the PDMS is not worth it in my opinion.

Re: B9creator v1.1 specs

Re: Need help for calibration machine v1.1 XY50m

I don't understand your concern. Only a variation 1 to 2 hundreths of a mm. What are u shooting for?

Just print. Most everything u print is going to be not on the edges of the build area, I assume.

Re: Setting up b9 creator v1.1

Assembled a new machine for a client couple of yrs ago and the toggle didn't work. Checked all the connections and at close examination one of the wires had pulled part way out of a connector. Lesson: Don't just check the connector, make sure all the wires are seated in the connector. Just thinking ...

Re: Artifacts In Slices

Got ya. I wasn't directing the comments at the slice file, but more as to avoid the flipped normals when modeling, so as to avoid bad models. I was really commenting on Panastation's post. Be more specific next time.

Thanks for making it more clear as to his particular issue.

Re: the rings do not come out.

U do not need 1650F that is pushing the limits of the investment. You may shorten the life of your elements. I set at 1450F to make sure I reach the 1350F minimum (my thermocouple is off approx. 50 to 60 degrees F). U can test by placing a cured print (no investment and no flask, but raised off the ...

Re: Artifacts In Slices

Back face color shows while modeling in shade mode only. I use it to check surfaces when doing sweeps, etc..

Is that what u meant AK?

Re: Artifacts In Slices

This is what I mean by all back surfaces being colored pink. This back surface color does not change no matter what color u have selected for modeling.

Re: Artifacts In Slices

I have all my back surfaces colored bright pink so they are very obvious, when I have inverted normals, I can just select and flip them them. Really helps when modeling so u don't have to go back and figure out where things went wrong. When u finish the "flip" the pink will be inside and t...

Re: the rings do not come out.

How long did u leave in full sun? Prob in sunlight it might take as long as 5 hrs., longer if large models. Depending on geometry, u may need to turn or flip the prints at some interval. Put in a bowl of water as oxygen inhibits curing. Use a clear container and put a mirror underneath or use reflec...

Re: the rings do not come out.

First of all, do not click on the images. There is something attached to them. I started getting pop ups of virus warnings, prob. bogus but not worth the risk.

Not cured and or burnout not complete or both.

Re: Problem with models

There is lateral vat movement so u are not printing on the same tech. Than support is way to thin. Always best to have supports early in the print for stability. If a used machine then try cleaning the Z screw and use light machine oil (wipe on and off with soft rag or paper towel). When u use the t...

Re: Artifacts In Slices

If u send the file I will be happy to have a look. prefer .3dm and not stl for checking for problems. Curves would help too.

Re: FEP over PDMS = orange VAT solution

The Dura vats don't need recoating due to use. The only time the vats have issues is from miss use/damage by user. At present they don't offer a recoating of the DuraVats, only replacement. This would be purchasing a new vat or possible consideration from the factory depending on individual circumst...

Re: Artifacts In Slices

I agree. Go to utilities in Matrix, if that is what u are using, and select show edges, then naked edges in pop up box. If u are using matrix then you should not be able to export as .stl if you have non manifold edges, etc. Make sure your settings don't allow for exporting "bad" objects. ...

Re: B9 scan 350

I know the scanner isn't for everyone, but there are those that need and use scanners.

For the money it's the highest resolution and fastest on the market.
