Re: Casting Problems

You can't over cure so step it up. Do three 6 min cycles. Stand up and then on each side. If u do any sanding, filing, or drilling then you should cure again. I do 6 min standing up on rings. Do any cleanup and then 6 min on each side. If your caster is not ramp soaking at 300 to 350 then there may ...

Re: Gray resin compatability with 1.1/1.2 printers?

Mike is not one to just throw out numbers he has not tested himself. Be patient. I had been waiting on the Grey resin since I was first exposed to it nearly a year ago. I knew wanting it did not make a bit of difference. Mike gives us new materials and products when he is satisfied with results that...

Re: Vivitek say: impossible use IN VERTICAL the 912 hd projector

Vertical makes no difference. You need to use the spacer regardless of orientation. The spacer allows the projector to focus at a shorter distance.

Have u tried unplugging everything including the projector from the AC power supply. Allow the projector to reboot.

Also u may have a bad cable, try a different one.

Re: Gray resin compatability with 1.1/1.2 printers?

Grey is for prototyping and not for casting. Can be molded for production work to shoot waxes patterns, etc. Has the shortest exposure times, therefore fastest prints.

Re: Curing question

Cast this 20 gram ring with regular curing for heavy piece (4 sessions of 6 min each in the model cure). Then after some slight cleanup (sanding and file work) back in for 6 min. This is to cure any uncured material after sanding. Mike has stated that complete surface cure is all that is needed to a...

Re: Build lines on the surface

You will see an improvement at 30 xy on the 1.2. The print lines are more prominent on curved surfaces. You can minimize this effect with orientation in some cases.
