Re: Uncured Resin inside the Ring

PS: A hollow print that is castable will not matter in direct casting as the investment only molds to the surface, therefore hollow prints or waxes should cast the same. But wouldn't the caveat be that if you have enclosed hollow spaces, the total weight of the model will be off and your calculatio...

Re: All prints with supports are failing. HelP!

We're having the same problem. It just started, and anything with supports fails before it ever grows to the piece. The supports start, then just taper and give up. Until now, the grows have been great for the past month and it started as soon as we tried to grow the attached slice, no matter what ...

Re: Uncured Resin inside the Ring

Robert is correct this is a hot mess here is why it was leaking resin as I mentioned about this before it is hollow you need to fix this area I circled plus all of the problems Robert mentioned. Plus all those tiny supports in the middle and outside of the ring need to be at least .8 like the other ...

Re: Uncured Resin inside the Ring

I would check your model slice by slice to see if it shows areas causing hollow spots.
I looks like it was a hollow space that could have only been created by the software not exposing that area and as the ring rises
the hollow area will retain resin in it from the up down process of the build table.

Re: layers swimming in the vat

I will generally Recalibrate the build table first, but you can check your model as well to see if it is ok in the tools in B9 software.
But I would calibrate the build table first.

Well I gotta say if ya think about it he is selling it at a discount considering he also paid shipping to get it. New B9 forum face lift

I don't know about anyone else but have you noticed the new forum face lift as of late?

Much larger pictures and topic screens. I definitely don't have to squint to see it now.

Looking good Mike and B9 techs.

Excellent I will add that to repertoire of suggestions.
It is a rare occurrence I think. I wonder how many times this has happened here.
I know there has been times that actual cables have had to be replaced due to cable failures.

swap the video output monitor cable with the output B9 projector cable on the back of the computer. That is really the easiest way to do it. or do it the hard way Other wise you have to go back into monitor settings and click on the opposite monitor that is showing and make it the main. best way to ...

for the same reason you go to 1350 instead of 1250

Re: inconsistant casting quality w/emerald

Thank you Robert, The temp was suggested by a b9 distributor. I am now being told that they use the R&R plasticast investment on all of their b9 resin castings. Seems the resins are not " standard investment and procedure castable" We are now undergoing hours of testing and trial and ...

Re: Support needed for supports

Cone size is too small make them at least 50% but I would do them at 75% I would angle the supports the opposite direction or strait up and like Robert I would be using at least .5top to bottom where is it failing? Are they failing at the point of contact to the pendant? If so that is the problem. A...
