Re: explainations of settings?

No offense but have you cleaned the lens on the printer lately? Just a thought
You might make sure the under side of the vat's window is clean too.

What do you mean the build layers came off the new VAT?

Re: Supports and PDMS wear

if you already have your sprue on the model when you bring it into the B9 software add some sprues in support mode anywhere on the outside of the models as far up to the halfway mark or where ever the sprue in the software will allow it to be set and you just need one. then switch back to model and ...

Re: projector upgrade

Assuming you have set your projector to focus at 50 xy you should be slicing your models at 31.75 Z on 1.1 That setting is the most optimum slice setting VS. time to print for most all items. you can set the slicing down to the 20's or even 15 but for every slice that is exposed to the light the vat...

That is a cool design and seeing it grown is just one of those rings where people look at it and say
You can do that here?
Good job.

Re: Core 530 vs. 550

If u had referenced "cast in place" then the answer would have been different. I don't do cast in place work but if I did I would cut the seats with a bur and snap in the stones. I often do that with customers for "try on" appointments. Production work is different than most of ...

Dear aka the pic is only for show the prongs cut, in the reality the stones is bigger or the prongs are close the stones. But sorry have you ever listen the terms WAX SETTINGS? Re: Core 530 vs. 550

gem cut.jpg I wonder if anyone has ever managed to achieve cuts on the prongs using the highest 30 xy resolution? The stones are 1,7mm and the prongs 0,6mm. So I think the real step head in a new machine is to get higher resolution, in order to obtain that Why would you want that? I would raise the...

Re: Does anyone have 100% success casting yellow?

But I suggest you use the Boric Acid water formula I have posted here a couple years ago. I use it anytime I have lettering that I want to make sure is going to come out well. Hey AK! How hard is it to break the investment off the cast metal? Is it as hard as removing phosphate (platinum) investmen...

No matter what you do this is going to be a challenge to cast and come out perfect. But I suggest you use the Boric Acid water formula I have posted here a couple years ago. I use it anytime I have lettering that I want to make sure is going to come out well. That and the lettering itself needs to h...

Re: Resins Data Sheets

Robert is correct, These resins were developed for prototyping not end user items. In the case of jewelry and dental use the resins are specific to that use that requires no tinsel strength specifics as it is not part of the equation. And as is pointed out with these resins once the cure of the resi...

Re: Resins Data Sheets

Again I must ask why would you go techy with a customer ?

I haven't seen this type of data sheet nor would I care if there was one.
As a user and one who deals with customers daily I would never bring that into a conversation.

Re: help with inconsistent casting

That's a big one. Now for this one and I should say that all the ones I cast with letters on it or a fine design element ( I haven't had an opportunity to design or cast an award ring since I have got the 1.1) I would definitely use the Boric acid water for the investment hardness to maintain the in...

Re: help with inconsistent casting

My theory on holding temp at 300 F. is that this is the top temp. for curing resin using the heat method. By holding at 300 F. for 30 minutes seems to me it is essentially just curing the resin one more time before ramp to combustion temp of resin. My thought on this is holding a temp. during ramp i...
