Re: PDMS issue

Silicone for bathroom or for wet areas would work best that is what I have used in the past to replace the glass in my vats. they have never leaked, so I would say it would work well for sealing the area. Make sure you clean it well with Alcohol before you apply it or any other glue you decide to use.

Re: Deleting library files-- Core series

No, reset will not change the firmware version. BTW, we just released a big update, download it here: https://www.b9c.com/support/documentation/b9create-software/download-b9create-software Mike, I have been curious about updates and how they affect the previously sliced and set up files by other ve...

Re: Print tips for cilinder with thin walls

Hi guys, I have a model (attached) and it has 0,5mm (500 microns) thick walls. The B9 Core prints with a resolução of 50 microns right? However, we are having trouble printing. One wall has even formed a hole by its self. Any tips for printing this part? Thanks SacaConeGastro11mm.stl If you have an...

Re: casting not good need help

Another thing I think I notice. Are you using resin sprues from the charm??? if you are then Stop doing that!!! Use a Wax sprue to to the pieces. The wax melts and is eliminated far earlier than the resin and the ash has a better chance to come out of the pieces. I also failed to mention that I Vacu...

Re: casting not good need help

My preference is to allow my cans to sit at least 2 hours and I find my castings for all metals come out much better but I too put them in the kiln after 45min. and have had reasonably good results but 2 hrs produces the best casting surfaces. My top burnout temp is 1450 Deg F. You may not think a h...

Don't use any PDMS and apply the FEP directly to the glass
See how that works out for you.

Re: got me a second hand 1.1 machine replacement needed

you can go to a place that sells bolts for equipment or most machine shops will have or can tell you where to go and get the replacement all thread or ready thread rod. They can tell you what the turn is so you can order it if need be but you should be able to match the threads once you get the thre...

Re: got me a second hand 1.1 machine replacement needed

I don't know why but I forgot to say you need to check the bearings on the side guides to make sure they are replaced with a Ball Bearing instead of the original graphite bearings. good idea suggested to disconnect the z screw to check the motor and also correct that the z screw is most likely not t...

Re: got me a second hand 1.1 machine replacement needed

Search on Zmotor here on the forum for leads on where they get the replacements. As for the Z screw there are two of them so the likelyhood of them being damaged is low. you might search on that too and see what the thread turn is suppose to be and you can buy it from the screw company that I rememb...

Re: sunken and fonts

I've cast this type ring with so many different combinations of spruing and burnout method that I just don't believe it's possible without it being wax. I'll just make molds of the resin from now on. I didn't want too but I guess it's a compromise I'll have to make. I'm not good at cutting molds:(....

Re: One of those "use all my stuff to make a ring"

Very nicely done Robert looks great. I just did one that the customer loved I was less enthusiastic but she wanted something using her old EU diamonds and chipped mine cut rounds. It came out ok but it was a bugger to set up and cast. ended up not filling the first casting then I cast it differently...

Short cut keys

I was reading the blog here http://www.b9c.com/news/article/42-ways-to-increase-your-productivity-on-the-b9create-software and it offers 42 ways to improve the use of the B9 software. It listed all 42 key strokes to speed the use of the software. My question: Is there a pdf or way to download this l...

Re: Build Table is sticking on the Vat

Thanks everybody for your help! But we created a new PDMS with less material, so the waterfall-step is bigger and then we tried it again and the problem was gone. So the Vat must have had PDMS level that is why it was trying to lift the vat up Make sure you check out all the videos and PDF on the O...
