Re: Question on latest print?

People on several sites have touted this as an alternative to cure cure cure and cure again I haven't used it but several people recomended it on 3dcad site and a few others. It may well have been posted here as well it seems I saw it here first over a year ago but I never tried it as I wasn't havin...

Re: Is it okay to use alcohol in an ultrasonic cleaner? Is it even needed?

I'm using the B9 black resin which is highly pigmented (or completely solid) and keep getting fingerprints on my models, that or uneven cures due to not being clean enough. I've only been running them under very hot water....I recently picked up an ultrasonic cleaner...Is it okay to use alcohol in ...

Re: So few posts on Core series...

do the core series printers require recoating vats with PDMS when worn out still? or have they found a better way? At this point from what I have read and heard from B9 the Vats being tested at B9 have yet to need replacement. Other than damage done to a vat by Mike himself due to an actual physica...

Re: So few posts on Core series...

Right now, I'm more interested in the new resin they teased on Facebook. I wish they could set up the 530 to print using 50/50 red and Cherry I have two brand new bottles still sealed in the packaging. I can use it on my B9 1.1 if I ever have to set it up to print a large Item but I would like to s...

Re: Is the clear silicone caulk useable to recoat a vat?

Is the clear silicone caulk useable to recoat a vat? I saw someone on a different forum mention that the pure silicon caulk (not silicone) added at hardware stores is PDMS. Is this true? No. Plain and simple it will not work PDM is used because of it's oxygen retention as well as it's clarity of ma...

Re: software wish - paint / repair individual layers

I wish there was way to fix small gaps in my print by just painting on the layer in the sliced file as sometimes its a huge pain to track down the error in the stl and then reset all the supports etc... Would there be a way to have a little paintbrush tool so that if one or two layers have gaps in ...

Re: Heavy Wall Signet Ring Burnoff - Flask up or down?

What I think your referring to is using wax as a sprue on the bottom of the item your casting. By using wax it melts and is eliminate long before the resin starts to disintegrate from the heat. This, in theory, allows air flow to the resin much quicker than if the sprue is all resin for obvious reas...

Re: Can't print anything with supports

open it again and look at the message at the top in either preview or print mode. I says Print Setup Analysis: Not Connected To Printer - Preview Mode Only. Job resolution (100 µm) is less than printer's capability (50 µm). Job slice thickness (101.6 µm) is greater than seletected material's maximum...

Re: Two prints - same failures!

I printed another set this time I angled the models using a modified Justin support. again as you can see I didn't use any other supports but the Justin support is stretched out further on the band and again I ran into the same problem with the bottom of the shank on the small one being smaller by 1...

Re: Two prints - same failures!

Using the core 530 here. I find it is doing the same thing where the bottom of the shanks are smaller than the top and seeing the increase on the sides going up. that was using your model with only the Justin support at the bottom and no other supports at all. normally I would grow these on their si...

convert B9 1.1 jobs and/or layouts to Core

Is there any way to convert our B9 jobs or the Layouts to be used on the B9Core? I remember somewhere reading that we could get the STL from the B9 1.1 or 1.2 jobs or the layouts. Do any of you remember this conversation? I don't find it under search but then again I would have use the right words t...

Re: Two prints - same failures!

Robert, I thought that my supports should be enough for a simple ring like this? akgold - thank you very much for your offer! It would be interesting to see what results you are getting and your opinion about my supports. How can I send you the .3dm? you can add the files here using the attachments...
