Re: are the core 530 and 550 adjustable XY?

They are in the sense that you can print at different Z but are not in XY that is set thus the difference between the 530 smaller print area and the 550 larger print area
Call Robert Howle here or he may chime in soon.

Re: Test Print

Just send them the STL that is all they need along with your request to slice at 30 Don't make it so hard on yourself. Unless you plan on buying one wait to get the model back. In addition I don't think you can download the B9 Core Software unless you're either a B91.1/1.2hd user or a B9 core owner ...

Re: Core to 1.2 slicing

twice the work.
Why Do it unless your wanting to use models you are printing or already printed on the Core?
Then that begs the question again Why would you take a model from the core to print on the 1.2 at 3 times the hrs it would
have printed on the core?

Re: Need help for calibration machine v1.1 XY50m

FYI I removed the bolts on the hinge for the door so I can completely remove the door for any pourpose. It made it much easier to work in all aspects from removing the vat or build table and adding resins to calibrating the build table or setting up the projector or focusing it during calibrations. ...

Re: B9creator v1.1 specs

What are the specs for the B9creator v1.1. Specifically, slicing thicknesses you can do? Is 50.8 microns the thinnest Z slice? your optimum slice thickness would be 31.75 you can go even less than that if you want to but it won't produce a better print surface but it will add an hour or more to the...

Re: Artifacts In Slices

Back face color shows while modeling in shade mode only. I use it to check surfaces when doing sweeps, etc.. Is that what u meant AK? Robert No I was just clarifying that you use back faces when modeling because there are back faces to see on your polysurfaces or surfaces but in this guys instance ...

Re: Artifacts In Slices

Point of order.
Back faces only work on surfaces once it becomes a mesh or an stl it isn't relevant.

Re: the rings do not come out.

You might want to look at your cure method.
pop them in the oven at 300 deg F for an hour then shut off oven and
remove them only after over has cooled down with door shut to about room temp to prevent shock
Then cast them
You can also add boric acid water to your mixture of R&R investment

Re: the rings do not come out.

what resin? What investment are you using? how long did you cure the models? how did you cure the models? I leave mine in overnight I ramp from room temp straight to 1450. F it is held there until morning when I then reduce it to casting temp of 800 deg yellow gold and 900 for white gold. silver is ...

Re: One of those "use all my stuff to make a ring"

Very nicely done Robert looks great. I just did one that the customer loved I was less enthusiastic but she wanted something using her old EU diamonds and chipped mine cut rounds. It came out ok but it was a bugger to set up and cast. ended up not filling the first casting then I cast it differentl...

Re: Print trouble due to PDMS

Thanks Tim! Just tried first print with resin filled vat elevated to window side. I do keep vats from UV when stored. Of note this seems to be a good way to identify any loose cured material in resin in vat. But I have found another and most likely reason for my casting surface problems. My Paragon...

Re: Print trouble due to PDMS

Maybe your PDMS needs to be exposed to oxygen more than normal Hi Tim I have been getting mixed results of late with surface quality and find your post interesting. I see that the core series needs to have vats exposed to oxygen between prints which seems to explain sweeper function with 1.2. I sto...

When I transfer print files from my flash drive to the Core 530 the first time after powering up then zip-boom-done in a few seconds. Re: Print trouble due to PDMS

Can I just do away with the dam and just fill the vat from one side to the other with PDMS. NO the dam is there to act as a release due to the suction once the exposure is made and the resin is hardened it cannot be pulled directly up so it slides over to the dam that releases the suction and the t...
