Re: Supports

Stand it on the head and snap to floor with some small discs on the end of the prongs, made in CAD. Then use light supports on the downward facing prongs.

Send the file and I will show u a layout.

How about a screen capture of your layout with supports.

Re: Want to buy a new B9 V1.2

I agree with RobertW, printing at 30z since forever on the 1.1, 1.2. Difference is just not worth the time or wear and tear on the lamp or machine and PDMS.

Thanks Lobby, there are quite a few knowledgeable users here that are always anxious to help others. Many times I think I just beat them to the punch. I know because they do it to me.

Have u removed the black guide rails and checked for gummy or dried resin?

Re: I'm thinking of hanging the 1.2 on the wall

Take off the feet. As long as the build table is parallel to the PDMS (vat) u are ok. I actually tilt my 1.2 a little to the right so resin flows back over the window a little faster. Just don't make it too severe. Front to back should be close to level as u can get it, but few walls are truly verti...

Re: Want to buy a new B9 V1.2

That projector on the floor looks like it is in the 50 micron position. U need to select the print for 50xy and test. Looks like the test print was done at the 30xy set up. Kinda hard to tell.

Check the orange calibration plates and check them against the test prints u are trying.

Re: b9 creator 1.2 vs b9 core series

I printed on the v1.2 since it was first offered. The print quality is only slightly different from the Core 530. If u need the option of a larger build area then go with the 1.2. A 3 hr. print on the 1.2 will only take about 45 to 50 min on the Core 530. Both being set up at 30 xy and 30 z. Robert ...

Re: v1.2 jamming during print

If u can move the vat table and the build table with the toggles then I always recommend checking the cables one at a time. It happened to me before. Cheaper than starting to buy and change parts, not to mention much quicker.

In one case it was my bad USB hub, and not the cables.

Re: Issue casting class rings with emeral resin.

What is the distance between the bottom of the letters and the edge of the recessed panel?

Don't try to cast with thinner than .5mm thickness of the investment, and thicker is much better.

I would mold the cured print and shoot waxes.

Re: RESINS EXPOSURE TIME

If u create a new set of settings as a duplicate of and existing one and then change the settings there, the lamp aging, etc. will adjust the settings.

Don't know how u set up the "Materials Catalogue"

You are right. My mistake, I was thinking about the v1.2 and the Core machine having the same build area. Sorry!

Yes the build area is larger. And u can fit a greater volume of models for printing. I don't understand your confusion.

Re: Vat racing back and forth

Also dont' forget to check the photo sensor on the right (tells the machine that the vat is all the way to the right and controlls the x axis motor. If it gets resin in it this can happen. Use a small amount of ISO on a q tip and clean it. The problem can be caused by both of these issues (one menti...

Re: Want to buy a new B9 V1.2

The reason for differences in the set ups for the 1.2 is the High Definition projector on the v1.2. At all the xy resolution settings using a 1.2 you will get higher quality prints with smaller details using the HD projector due to pixel density. I do not have the sizes of the build area for the v1....

Re: Want to buy a new B9 V1.2

The build area for the 50 xy set up is 96 mm in the X direction and 54 mm in the Y direction. The build area for the v1.1 and the version v1.2 are the same. The build area for the Core 550 (50 xy setup) is still the same. The only way to get the largest build area is to set up the B9 creator at 70 x...
