Re: Proper projector to back plate angle- V1.2?

If u have a clean vat in place and do the projector calibration using the orange plastic grids from B9 u will be able to know if u are perdendicular if the zoom and focus gives u crisp grid lines over the entire build area. If the yaw is off u will be out of focus on one end. If the tilt is off u wo...

Re: Proper projector to back plate angle- V1.2?

The red sloped spacers between the red mounting plate and the projector set the correct angle for the image projected to be perpendicular to the build table.

Re: Power lamp flashing

Install and unistall will not affect your other stored files. I don't understand why u say turn on pc and then turn on projector. My projector is never "off" the standby mode light is always on. Have u been turning the projector on and off manually between prints if u don't need it right a...

Re: Asagas superwax resin

There is no heat to the vat of the Core Series. Any resin used other than those recommended by B9 for the Core will void the warranty.

EDIT: Sorry for the incorrect statement about 3rd party resins.

Re: printing with green resin

All projectors have different output. This is the reason for MSM (machine specific multiplier). "Scratches" before or after cleaning.

Re: Proper Vivitek D912HD Menu Settings for v1.2?

looks like your display setup may be changing. I would def try a different computer get a new HDMI cable to go from your computer to the projector. Many have had cables go bad. I would always try the cable first then the computer. Then figure it's the projector.

Re: can we make it faster like this

The only kind of models that can be printed that way have very little total area touching the PDMS at any given time, that is why he uses the lattice type model. Also he says in his narrative that it can be used to print this type of model. Notice he still had to have the vat make a release move in ...

Re: Yellow Resin & Settings

If u were already printing good calibraiton prints with another resin. Don't change your settings. You should only have to adjust the MSM. Most users find it has to be increased a small amount. Looks like under cured layers to me, or out of focus projector.

It won't hurt to uninstall and reinstall the software.

Have u tried a different computer?

Make sure u check your cables. I have have problems similar when I had a bad cable and a bad USB hub that I ran the cables through.

Just some thoughts.

@ NCSUMike

I would try a different computer with a more current video card. The Nvidia ones are super.

Have seen more than one user have problems just because of a bad cable or USB Hub (including me).

I never had problems with getting good results with the v1.2. Mine is calibrated and finely focused. When u are talking about 30 micron xy and 50 micron xy there is very little difference in the output other than in really small details. U can also see slight differences in "stepping" on c...
