Re: explainations of settings?

If your calibration print is good then there should be no problem with printing. You don't need to change the attachment layer settings. Are u "snapping to floor" before saving and slicing? Are u making sure the foundation is only .5mm in thickness? Doesn't make sense that calibration is g...

Re: explainations of settings?

U should not have to change attachment layers, just the MSM. Do calibration print with the new build table.

Re: projector upgrade

Like Metalcaster says, and model geometry and orientation have a lot to do with layer lines. Tight zoom and focus help to minimize these artifacts too.

Re: Supports and PDMS wear

Not sure it was mentioned, but put the foundation disc or oval (.5mm thick) on your sprue in CAD. Make it as short as possible.

Re: Need help in calibration, extreeme setttings!

At the bottom of the ring use a base, not small supports. The early supports are very important. Base does not have to be this tall. Early prints with base, now I use much shorter base to save on print time and expsure of the PDMS. Every mm in height at 30 z is approx. 35 layers (exposures). Justin ...

Re: Need help for calibration machine v1.1 XY50m

La plupart des machines ne possèdent pas les supports arrière. Juste besoin d'avoir l'alignement approprié. Gardez-moi au courant de vos progrès.

Using google translate. Hope this is ok.

Re: Need help for calibration machine v1.1 XY50m

like Metalcaster says, get the new build table. Does your machine have the sleve bearing upgrade? Check and make sure the angled red brackets the set the angle of the projector on the red mounting plate are in the correct orientation. The "tallest" end should be down towards the bottom of ...

Re: Core 530 vs. 550

If u had referenced "cast in place" then the answer would have been different. I don't do cast in place work but if I did I would cut the seats with a bur and snap in the stones. I often do that with customers for "try on" appointments. Production work is different than most of u...

Re: Core 530 vs. 550

I would never put cuts in prongs that small, could present casting issues. Hate to have them breaking off during setting operations.

Just my opinion.

Re: Need help for calibration machine v1.1 XY50m

Assume the projector is in the top hole (closest to the vat window). The highest res on the v1.1 is 50 xy. Can u show a picture of a side view of your assembled machine? Did u go into the settings and choose the new setup? (v1.1 at 50 xy) and select save changes. Think that is what it says. Robert H...

Re: First print went well

All u need is complete surface cure. U can always cure more if u want but not needed on most med and small items. If u drill, sand or file the cured prints, put them back in the Model Cure for 2 to 3 min. You may expose uncured resin when "working" the prints. I use SatinCast 20 and this i...

Re: First print went well

Many of us just slosh the print in Dawn and water (I use a mixture of about 25% Dawn and 75% water). Then rinse and put in the ultrasonic (water and what ever cleaning agent u use for jewelry work, soapy compound, don't use ISO) until the white "cloud" of uncured resin has stopped rising o...

Sometimes it's all about orientation

Just an example of print that is best laid on the side. Byzantine chain ring. Printed for another store. 1 hr and 10 min on 1.2 at 30xy and 30 z. Emerald resin. Not cured yet. Just cleaned in the ultrasonic after sloshing in Dawn and water mix. Byzantine ring 1.jpg Byzantine ring 2.jpg Robert Howle

Re: explainations of settings?

Sounds like u need to recalibrate the build table. Do you have the new stainless steel build table assembly. If u dont', get it. It's a "can't do it wrong" piece of tech.
